The type B flange has a short cylinder, so the rigidity is better than the type A flange, and can be used for occasions with higher pressure and larger diameter. Weld form: A is V-shaped groove, B is U-shaped groove, so B is easier to weld through, so its strength and stiffness are higher.

Because it has a long neck and adopts butt welding, it has better rigidity and is used for higher pressure.
Pay attention to the problem
Both flat welded and butt welded flanges have two types with and without lining rings. The sealing surface has three types: plane type, concave and convex type and mortise type.
How to choose pressure vessel flange
Select the main parameters of the flange: nominal pressure (PN), nominal diameter (DN)
Determination of nominal diameter: pipe flange - the same as the nominal diameter of the connected pipe;
Pressure vessel flange-plate roll body, the same nominal diameter as the connecting cylinder;
The seamless steel pipe is used as the barrel, and the nominal diameter of the connected seamless pipe is the same.
Nominal pressure Nominal pressure - is based on the maximum working pressure of 16Mn at 200 ° C, so when the flange material and working temperature are different, the maximum working pressure will be reduced or increased.
The nominal pressure of the flange is related to three factors: the maximum operating pressure and operating temperature of the flange and the material of the flange.
